A Kitchen Before a Company

Long before Anisa's Foods had a name, a logo, or a single jar on a shelf, it had a kitchen in Vanasthali, Kharibot, and a woman who couldn't stop feeding people. Anisa Shahi Malla founded Anisa's Foods to bring the achaar she grew up making for family and friends to households across Nepal, in a form that felt as premium and trustworthy as the recipes themselves deserved.

Rooted in Pokhareli Tradition

Anisa's love for food began not in a classroom, but at someone's elbow in a family kitchen, learning by watching, tasting, and adjusting until a dish felt right. Pokhareli flavours in particular stayed with her: the specific balance of mustard oil, timur, and sun-aged spice that turns a simple jar of pickle into something people crave.

For years, she cooked for the people closest to her. Family gatherings, festivals, friends who kept asking for "just one more jar." That informal, word-of-mouth demand became the real signal: there was a place for Pokhareli achaar made with genuine care, sold with the confidence and consistency of a proper brand, not just a homemade favour.

Anisa's Foods started small and intentionally. Premium pickles first, made carefully rather than quickly. Anisa's ambition from day one was never just to sell a product, but to build something that could carry Nepali food traditions forward: modern enough to trust, traditional enough to taste like home.

"
I didn't want to just sell pickles. I wanted people who'd never been to Pokhara to taste exactly what it feels like to sit in that kitchen.

The Culture Behind Anisa's

The way Anisa runs the kitchen is the way she wants the whole company to run three principles she returns to again and again.

๐Ÿก

Family First

Every recipe still traces back to a family table. Nothing goes into a jar that Anisa wouldn't serve her own guests.

Hands-On Craft

Batches are small and closely watched, because consistency comes from attention, not shortcuts.

๐ŸŒฑ

Grow Slowly, Grow Right

Anisa's Foods is still early in its journey deliberately, so that quality never has to catch up to growth.
